Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2012, discussing a thesis on tumor stem cells in laryngeal carcinomas. Specialized in Otolaryngology in 2017, discussing a thesis on the surgical treatment of spontaneous rhino-CSF fistulas. Specialized in Endoscopic Naso-Sinus and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Varese. He obtained a Master's degree in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
He is currently a medical director in the Otolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the IRCCS Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza in San Giovanni Rotondo.
Otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery deals with the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies of the head, neck and maxillofacial area, in particular of the ear (intended as the organ of hearing and balance ), the nose , the paranasal sinuses, the lacrimal ducts, the skull base, the pharynx, the oral cavity , the larynx , the neck and the salivary glands .
The Pediatric ENT specialist deals with the diagnosis and treatment, medical and/or surgical, of pathologies affecting the ear (e.g. otitis, hearing loss, malformations), the nose (e.g. rhinitis, sinusitis, adenoid hypertrophy, nasal polyposis), the pharynx (e.g. tonsillar hypertrophy, tonsillitis), the oral cavity (high arched palate), the neck (e.g. cysts and fistulas of the neck, lymphadenitis) and the management of snoring and sleep apnea in pediatric age.
In recent years, this discipline has benefited from multiple technological developments to become increasingly minimally invasive in clinical and therapeutic approaches (e.g. laser surgery , endoscopic surgery, etc.) with the aim of improving the quality and life expectancy of patients.
